Tired EA is a free automated forex trading bot — an Expert Advisor (EA) for MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5. It costs nothing to download and nothing to run. You pay 20% of your closed profit, and only after you have made a profit. If the robot does not make money, you owe nothing.
There is no signup, no email, no password, no activation code, no licence or license fee, and no credit card. You install it in your own terminal, and your money stays in your own brokerage account.
It is a free copy trading EA: it mirrors a live master account's currency trades into your own account automatically. You are not copying alerts by hand and you are not subscribing to signals. If you have searched for a free forex robot, a free MT4 EA, an algo trading bot, or hands-free automated trading — this is that, with the fee taken from profit instead of from you.
Download — free, no signup:

- TiredFollower-MT5.ex5 — MetaTrader 5
Nothing up front. Nothing monthly. No licence fee.
The fee is 20% of cumulative closed net profit above your last paid high-water mark, including commissions and swap. It is evaluated every 7 days using only fully closed trades.
- If the closed result is not above your high-water mark, nothing is due and the next weekly period starts.
- Open positions and unrealized profit are ignored entirely until they close.
- Deposits, withdrawals, your own manual trades, and other EAs are excluded from the calculation.
- The high-water mark means you never pay twice on the same profit.
When a fee is due, the EA shows an exact-amount checkout QR code directly inside MetaTrader. You pay it once, or opt in to Auto Pay if you'd rather not think about it.
This is the most common objection in forex forums, and for most EA sellers there is no good answer. If it worked, why sell it instead of just trading it?
Tired EA is free because of how it is paid for. There is no purchase price, so there is no money to be made from someone downloading it and it not working. The only revenue is 20% of profit that has already been closed and paid out above your high-water mark. If it loses, nothing is owed and nothing is earned.
That means selling it and it working are the same event. A seller charging $500 up front is paid whether or not their EA makes you money. Here, if you don't make money, neither do I.
The honest version of why: I am using it to grow my own account faster than I could on my own capital alone. A share of other people's closed profit compounds my equity quicker than trading my own balance by itself, and that is the entire point of doing it this way.
Which also means this will not be available forever. Once my equity is where I want it, I stop giving it out. Anyone already running it keeps it — you don't lose access because I closed the door behind you. But there will be a point where new copies stop.
So the incentives are stacked the way you'd want them: the fee scales with how well it trades, not with how many people download it, and I have every reason to keep it working for the people already running it.
Most don't, and the ones being sold have a specific reason for that: the seller is paid at the point of sale. Whether the robot makes you money afterwards has no effect on their revenue. That's why "does this forex EA actually work" is the most asked question in the market and why it almost never gets a straight answer.
Tired EA doesn't answer it with a backtest. It answers it with the pricing: there is no purchase price, so a download that loses money earns nothing. The only revenue is a share of profit already closed in your account.
That is not a promise that it will be profitable. No automated trading system can promise that, and anyone who does is lying to you. It means the risk of it not working sits with me rather than with you — you are out nothing if it fails, which is not true of any EA you pay for up front.
Most cost $200–$2,000 as a one-time purchase, or $30–$200 a month as a subscription. Some charge a monthly fee on top of a purchase price.
Tired EA costs nothing to download and nothing to run. The only payment is 20% of profit already closed above your high-water mark. If there is no new closed profit, there is no cost.
How EAs are priced, and what to check before trusting any performance fee →
Not required, but recommended. An EA only trades while the terminal is running, so if you close MetaTrader or your computer sleeps, it stops managing positions.
Because this is a swing system holding trades for days to weeks, a VPS matters more than it would for a scalper — you don't want a laptop lid closing mid-position. Any cheap Windows VPS works. Several brokers provide one free at a certain deposit level.
Check your prop firm's rules first. Many prohibit copy trading, trade copiers, or running an EA that mirrors an external account, and breaking that rule usually voids the account. That is a decision between you and your firm — this is built for your own live brokerage account.
Yes, on every single entry. No position is opened without a valid protective stop, and position size is calculated from the risk at that stop rather than from a fixed lot size.
Stops are held privately inside the EA instead of being submitted as visible broker levels.
You never pay twice on the same profit.
Your watermark is the highest closed profit level you have already paid on. The fee only applies to profit above that line. If you make $1,000 and pay on it, then lose $400 and earn it back, you owe nothing on that $400 — you are still below your previous peak. Only new ground counts.
It also survives reinstalling. The watermark lives on the server, so deleting and reinstalling the EA does not reset it in either direction.
Worked examples with real numbers → — including what happens across a drawdown and recovery, and on a losing account.
No. There is no account to create. You never enter an email address, password, activation code, or recovery code, and no card is stored anywhere.
The EA registers itself when it starts, using one-way owner and device fingerprints generated locally on your machine. Reinstalling on the same broker account reconnects to your existing record automatically.
New entries are only taken on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, between 7 PM and 1 AM New York time.
Outside that window nothing new is opened. Positions already running are still managed normally — the schedule limits new entries, not the handling of open trades.
No. It is a fully automated EA. It opens, sizes, manages, and closes currency positions on its own. You are not copying alerts and you are not placing trades by hand.
- MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5
- Currency pairs only
- MT4: hedging accounts supported
- MT5: requires a hedging account, so copied positions stay independently identifiable
- Your terminal must allow WebRequest access to
https://copy-engine.ahutcherson705.workers.dev(one setting in MetaTrader options)
- Every entry requires a valid protective stop. Nothing is opened without one.
- Position size is calculated from the source trade's remaining percentage risk at that stop, converted using your broker's contract value and account currency, rounded down to your lot step.
- Size is capped per trade and across all open positions.
- Stop loss and take profit are held privately inside the EA rather than submitted as visible broker levels.
- If the feed goes stale or unreachable, your open positions are not closed.
- Emergency close only touches trades that Tired EA opened. Your own trades are never affected.
Automation suspends. No new entries, no EA-initiated closes, no private stop execution. You keep full manual control of every open position the whole time, and nothing is force-closed. Paying resumes normal operation.
- Demo follower accounts are refused. This runs on live accounts only.
- This is a swing system — positions are held for days to weeks, not seconds. Your broker's swap and spread matter far more than fill speed. Swap is included in the profit calculation, so holding costs reduce the profit your fee is taken on.
- Start with a small dedicated live account on your intended broker before increasing exposure.
- The high-water mark and fee state live on the server. Deleting or reinstalling the EA does not reset them.
- Running two copies on one licence is detected and the second is blocked.
- Download the EA for your platform: MT4 · MT5
- Copy it into your terminal's
Expertsfolder. - In MetaTrader, open Tools → Options → Expert Advisors, tick Allow WebRequest for listed URL, and add:
https://copy-engine.ahutcherson705.workers.dev - Enable automated trading and attach the EA to a chart.
Not trading, or something not working? Troubleshooting →
There is a "How it works" button inside the EA. You do not have to read documentation or watch anything to understand it. Open the panel in MetaTrader and it walks you through the whole thing step by step — what each number means, how the fee is calculated, what the controls do.
The walkthrough uses example figures and does not change your account. Nothing is traded, nothing is charged, and you can stop it at any point.
Watch the full walkthrough: Tired EA - How It Works
Is it actually free? The download and the software are free. You pay 20% of closed profit, and only when there is closed profit above your previous high-water mark.
What if I lose money? You owe nothing. The fee is only ever calculated on closed profit above your last paid watermark.
Is there a subscription? No. There is no recurring charge and nothing to cancel.
Is there a licence fee? No. There is no licence fee, no purchase price, and no monthly cost. The only money that ever changes hands is 20% of profit you have already made.
Do I need a credit card to try it? No. You do not enter card details to download or run it. Payment only happens after a fee is due, and you choose how to pay it at that point.
Is there any upfront cost at all? No. Download, install and run it without paying anything. The first time you owe money is the first time you have closed profit above your high-water mark.
Is this a free forex bot or a trial? It is not a trial and it does not expire. It is free to use indefinitely — the business model is the 20% performance fee, not a time limit.
Do I have to give you my email? No. There is no signup of any kind. The EA registers itself locally when it starts.
Do I need to deposit anything to try it? Not to us. You trade your own broker account with your own money, and we never hold or touch it.
Do I need to open an account with a specific broker? No. There is no broker referral requirement and no partner broker you have to sign up through.
Is there a contract or minimum commitment? No. There is nothing to sign, no term, and nothing to cancel. Stop using it whenever you want.
Can I try it before paying anything? Yes — that is the entire model. You run it, and the first money that ever changes hands is 20% of profit you have already closed.
Is this a paid signal service? No. It is not signals and there is no subscription. It is an EA that trades your account automatically.
Why would anyone give away a profitable EA? Because there is no purchase price, so nothing is earned from a download that doesn't work. The only revenue is a share of profit that has already been made. If it loses, nothing is owed and nothing is earned. It compounds my own account faster than trading my balance alone would.
Will it always be free to download? No. Once my own equity reaches the level I'm aiming for, I stop handing out new copies. Anyone already running it keeps it and stays on the same terms — access isn't removed from existing users.
Is it open source? No. The compiled EA is free to download and use; the source is not published.
How do I know what it's doing? There is a "How it works" button inside the EA that walks you through every number and control step by step, using example figures. It does not touch your account. The panel also shows your equity, profit watermark, new profit, any fee due, risk caps, every copied trade, and connection state in real time.
Do you hold my money? No. Your funds stay in your own brokerage account, in your name, under your control.
Do you need my broker login? No.
What markets does it trade? Currency pairs only.
Can I stop it? Yes. There is a pause control and an emergency close in the panel. Emergency close only closes positions the EA opened.
When does it trade? New entries only on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 7 PM to 1 AM New York time. Open positions are managed normally at all times.
How long does it hold trades? Days to weeks. It is a swing system, not a scalper.
Is this copy trading? Yes. It is a copy trading EA — a live master account's currency trades are mirrored into your account automatically, sized to your balance and your risk caps. Unlike most copy trading services there is no subscription and no platform taking a cut of your deposit.
Is this algo trading / algorithmic trading? Yes. It is a fully automated algorithmic system. You are not placing trades or reading signals.
Is there a licence or license fee? No. Neither spelling, no fee. The download is free and stays free to use.
Does it work with my broker? It works with any broker offering MetaTrader 4 or MetaTrader 5. MT5 requires a hedging account. There is no partner broker you must sign up through.
Is it hands-free? Yes. Once it is attached to a chart it opens, sizes, manages and closes positions on its own.
Do forex robots really work? Most sold ones don't, because the seller gets paid whether they work or not. This one earns nothing unless your account closes a profit. That is not a guarantee it will be profitable — nothing can guarantee that — but it does mean you carry no cost if it isn't.
Is this forex robot legit? Judge it by what it asks of you. It asks for no money, no card, no email, no signup, and no access to your broker account. There is nothing to take from you before it has made you something.
Is there a free forex robot that works? That is the question this exists to answer honestly. Free ones are usually free because they're abandoned, crippled, or a funnel to something paid. This one is free because it's paid for out of profit instead of up front.
How much does it cost? Nothing to download, nothing monthly. 20% of closed profit above your high-water mark, and nothing when there is no new closed profit.
Is it profitable? I'm not going to put a number here, because any number I posted would be unverifiable and you'd be right to ignore it. What I can tell you is that I don't get paid unless your account does.
Does it have low drawdown? Every entry carries a mandatory protective stop and position size is calculated from the risk at that stop, with caps per trade and across all open positions. That controls risk per position. No system is drawdown-free.
Does it work on Android or the MT4/MT5 mobile app? No. Expert Advisors only run in the desktop terminal — Windows, or a VPS. You can watch your account from the phone app, but the EA itself has to run on a desktop or VPS.
Do I need a VPS? Not required, but recommended, because the EA only trades while the terminal is running. On a swing system holding for days, a machine that stays on matters.
Can I run it on a prop firm account? Check your firm's rules first — many prohibit trade copiers and external-account mirroring, and breaking that usually voids the account.
Is there a Telegram group? No Telegram channel or signals group. Everything is the EA itself and this page.
What do I need to run it? A MetaTrader 4 or 5 desktop terminal, a live account with any broker (MT5 must be hedging), and WebRequest allowed to the service URL. That's all.
Is forex robot trading worth it? It depends entirely on what you paid to find out. Forex robot trading has a bad reputation because the standard model charges you before you know whether it works. Remove the upfront cost and the question becomes cheap to answer for yourself — run it and see.
