Make the review bot post inline comments - #177

Conversation
The inline comment server was set up, but the prompt only mentioned the tool at the very end as optional, so the bot never called it. It is now a required first step for to-dos that point to a changed line. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
✅ Ready to mergeThis only changes the text of the review bot prompt in the CI workflow. The proxy code, API, config and Docker image are not touched. Impact on existing users: None – the change only affects the review bot, not the released image. To-do for the author
Test before merging: Open a small test PR after merging and check that the bot now posts inline comments. Technical details

Problem
The Claude review bot never opened inline threads. The run logs show the
github_inline_commentMCP server is set up correctly and the tool is allowed, but the bot never called it ("No buffered inline comments", 0 review comments on #174–#176). The prompt only mentioned inline comments at the very end, as an optional extra after "post ONE top-level comment".Change
The output section now has two ordered steps:
confirmed: true) for the at most 3 most important to-dos that point to a changed line.Note
The workflow uses
pull_request_target, so it runs frommain. The change takes effect only after this PR is merged; this PR's own review still uses the old prompt.🤖 Generated with Claude Code
