## Actual b2 native observation and proposed focus ownership

The [b2 native report](../reports/measurements/lucent-cold-default-uri-b2.json)
adds actual native keyboard observation to the original independent pointer and
Tab/Enter routes. Pointer passes. Keyboard still fails, and both cases pass all
nine cleanup checks. During history, Clock and Calendar both request and commit
`None`. After history closes, `OnDemand` returns; the keyboard route observes
Clock as the current Lucent native keyboard owner while the browser document
lacks focus. These client observations are not an atomic global seat-owner query.
They establish the observed reacquisition; they do not establish every compositor
ordering detail.

The new [keyboard-focus guide](keyboard-focus.md) follows the proposed correction:
capability alone creates no widget demand, a genuine prepared control press
creates exact member/output intent, and the optional native backend acknowledges
one-shot acquisition only after real Enter and teardown synchronization. Closing
history does not recreate widget demand. This focus API leaves URI-opening policy
in `UriPort` and notification lifetime policy in the client. The original
canonical URI checks now pass as recorded below. First-click, outside-click and
secure-session checks retain their separate acceptance requirements.

## Original canonical cold trial on ba5

The [ba5 native report](../reports/measurements/lucent-cold-default-uri-ba5.json)
records the original pointer and Tab/Enter routes against the coherently deployed
ba5 release. Each route starts a separate cold owned Chromium birth through the
real temporary default handler. Each opens its exact declared document and
receives exactly one trusted, unmodified, nonrepeat `KeyA`; all three feature
checks and all nine cleanup checks pass in each case. Keyboard navigation sends
two Tab events before Enter. No forced compositor focus, browser prewarming,
extra browser click, hiding or diagnostic cursor reposition is used.

The sampled Clock and Calendar policies stay requested and committed `None`
after history closes. At browser-map and before/after the key, the owned document
reports focus and the Lucent observer has no current own-client Native. These
are sequential read-only client/DOM observations: an absent Lucent observation
does not identify the compositor's global keyboard owner. Direct input-release
callback timing is unavailable. When the notification surface is absent, the
reported native-frame advancement remains `null` rather than becoming zero.

This closes the recorded cold-handler keyboard case on one 1920×1080 scale-1
virtual output. It does not establish direct protocol-token consumption,
arbitrary handlers, first-click Notes or outside-click acquisition, lock/login,
physical hardware, memory targets or animation performance. Earlier b2, 3640 and
eb348 failures remain historical; the cursor-only diagnostic remains a diagnostic.
