Area 51's Virtual Learning Path

Overview

As part of my graduation project (A competitive learning platform for CS students), i decided to create a VR Experience to Enhance the Learning Aspect as Extra Work, Which came out to be a virutal learning path using Unity's Android SDK and Google Cardboard's VR Sample.

How it Works

The virtual Learning Path is a Room that contains a certain Subject to Learn composed of several modules each module containing a description text and a video accompanying the module, the Learner must Click the Start Learning Path Button to start the first module's video. Upon Pressing on the Starting button, the Learning can Pause the Video if he points with his view to the video and Presses it. If the Learner Wishes to skip a module he can Press the Start Learning Path Button Again and it would Automatically Play the next Module's Video

Real Life Practise

  • This Application can only work using a Graphic Tablet and VR goggles
  • Equipping the VR Goggles with the phone and the phone with the Graphic Tablet will Allow the Learning to Move throw the Room by using the Pen and clicking on a certain area in the graphic tablet
  • This Appication has no Collision detection so it would be adviced to be wary of bypassing the boundaries (Ending up in the Blue Zone)
