The four manifests carried copies of the same turn graph and differed only at the tail. turn.edn now holds the chain and each says :extends "turn" with just its tail. read-definition resolves the link, so every reader sees the whole graph; saving a base compiles everything that extends it and refuses a change that breaks one, and manifest patch on an extension writes back only the delta so the file keeps its :extends.
…es live Every cell, manifest and policy save now replays the project's battery with the edit in place and without it, and refuses the edit when a target that passed fails. Each case runs in a child process on the tree its recorded run started from, with the project's .samizdat copied in and the candidate written over it, so the candidate never leaks into the live run. A refusal is confirmed by a second measurement, since a replay of a run that forked is not exact. Cases live in battery_cases and are written once: the battery tool adds one from a finished run and cannot remove one. Every target is recorded in heldout_checks with its fixture, harness revision, model and scorer. Stage 2 is heldout/live-verdict over arena rows: floor, cost and guards per task, printed by the arena with ARENA_ACCEPT.
…gled call arguments A supervisor pass resumed on the carried branch got no new brief and was not active, so every pass after the first ran one turn and ended abandoned without seeing what woke it. resume-branch now appends the pass's brief, sets the branch active and clears the last pass's ending reason and failure streaks. GLM sometimes escapes every argument after the first into the first one's string; the fence now recovers the object when the wrapped string reads as one with more keys, and marks the call repaired.

loop, worker, reviewer and supervisor now extend manifests/turn.edn instead of carrying four copies of the turn chain. read-definition resolves :extends, and saving a base compiles everything that extends it (karamazov-xtd3).
Cell, manifest and policy saves replay the project's battery before they go live and refuse an edit under which a target that passed now fails. Each case replays in a child process on the tree its recorded run started from, with the candidate written into a copy of the project's .samizdat. Cases are write-once in battery_cases and added with the new battery tool. heldout/live-verdict is the stage-2 rule over arena arms (karamazov-7mo.4, ylte.4). Checked on endless-flight: a comment-only cell edit was accepted, and a parse cell that turns done into give_up was refused, naming the target it broke.
The third endless-flight run turned up a bug that had silenced the supervisor after its first pass: resumed passes got no new brief and were not active, so each one ran one turn and ended abandoned (karamazov-3keg). With that fixed, the pass after a round sent back on acceptance named the failing criterion and steered the fix. Also recovers GLM calls whose arguments are escaped into the first argument's string (karamazov-q9v1).
Follow-ups filed: karamazov-x0dx (replay of a forked run is not exact) and karamazov-nha1 (the gate's refusal path can outlast a turn deadline).
