FAQ

[Windows] Q: Command Prompt is blocked by my system administrator/organization. What do I do?

A: Here's how to fix this problem:

  1. Open Run by using Win + R and typing in gpedit.msc (opens local Group Policy Editor). This can also be done using Search and selecting Group Policy Editor.

  2. Go to the User Configuration menu. Click Administrative Templates and select System.

  3. Go to the Prevent Access to the Command Prompt option under the Settings column on the right side of the window. Double-click it.

  4. Click the Disabled and click Agree.

This allows Command Prompt to be opened.

[Windows] Q: An app still asks for administrator permissions after opening with appUnblocker.

A: This app can't be opened using appUnblocker as it calls for other services to be requested as the app/setup may need it to open.
