Clean-history replacement for #1.\n\nThis keeps the same final tree as the previous Phase 1.5 PR, but squashes the iterative RCA/history into 10 semantic commits.\n\nLocal verification:\n- nix develop -c make check\n- final tree matches backup/pre-squash-master-2026-07-13

Preserve ordered edits, clamp combobox cursors before mutation, route wheel events to the hovered owner, and render selected state after navigation.
Run the sentinel proof before exit, submit cmd input with carriage return first, keep LF/CRLF fallbacks, fail short writes, and add portable smoke-helper coverage plus RCA handoff notes for live Windows evidence.
Emit a machine-readable hosted Windows ConPTY acceptance manifest plus command and host metadata sidecars for the Phase 1.5 smoke gate.
Add a strict local verifier for downloaded hosted Windows ConPTY artifacts, with synthetic positive and negative fixtures plus Windows smoke-context checks wired into make check.
Keep the pseudoconsole setup pipe ends alive through CreateProcessW and isolate redirected parent std handles from the ConPTY child. Guard both invariants with source-order regression checks.
Record hosted Sixel, iTerm2, and Windows ConPTY evidence as accepted, keep the evidence invariants wired into make check, and update the handoffs/product brief accordingly.
