Summary
Gives the Switch 2 HLE commands and interfaces Switchbrew's names, and makes several calls that
were auto-stubbed or zeroed answer the way the console does.
Renames (no behavior change)
Placeholder names (UnknownNNN, INx2...) added for Switch 2 titles now use the names Switchbrew
documents. Commands Switchbrew doesn't list keep their current names.
AM: new ISelfController, ICommonStateGetter, IApplicationFunctions and appletOE commands; IGraphicsScaleController is now IGraphicsScalingParametersFunctions (header renamed to match).
HID: the Switch 2 IHidServer commands, including Jcms, Nmouse and vibration 213/214/220.
Audio: aud:u, auddmg:u and audsmx:u sessions get their nn::audio interface names
(devmgr and sysmix classes live in Devmgr/Sysmix namespaces).
nvdrv: AS ioctl 0x0B is GetSyncRoMap (NVGPU_AS_IOCTL_GET_SYNC_RO_MAP) with Switchbrew's
field names.
nx2:gsv: UserSession, GpuSession, KUserWorkerSession, SyncptSession and video decoder
session commands.
Behavior changes
IGraphicsScalingParametersFunctions 1050: accepted instead of auto-stubbed (every Switch 2
title calls it at boot; the scale never changes, so no notification is needed).
chat:u: returns its objects (1-4) and the session's events (2-4) instead of empty replies;
GetRoomInfo reports an empty room, as the console does outside GameChat. Events that never fire
use StubReplyEvent.
IsTensorRtSupported (IApplicationFunctions 230): answers true, like Switch 2 hardware.
IsOunceVibrationDeviceMounted (HID 220): answers whether the device is mounted, like 211,
instead of always false.
HID scene id (138/139) and Nmouse pointer ranges (3132/3133/3139): values a title sets are
stored per application and read back instead of 0. InitializeNmouse (3130) stays a placeholder
(no captured call). 213 is still dropped but logs its first request so its layout can be settled.
IApplicationProxy 40: returns a real IPerformanceFunctions. The overclock request is kept on
the applet and reads back; it also reports enabled when the CPU clock setting is Boost or
Overclock. The request does not change the emulator's clock.
Testing
Compared against nx2 without these changes:
Build and unit tests: same result on both (the one nup_writer failure happens without the
changes too).
Same behavior on both, reaching title or first menu: Mario Kart World, Switch Sports, Splatoon
Raiders, Mario Tennis Fever, Pokopia, Donkey Kong Bananza, Fire Emblem.
Kirby Air Riders: goes black after its opening movie without the changes; with them it reaches
the title screen.

Summary by CodeRabbit
New Features
Added support for applets to query and set CPU overclock requests, and query graphics scaling parameters.
Added HID support for per-applet pointer ranges and scene IDs, plus improved handling of vibration commands and device status.
Expanded compatibility with newer audio and friend-service requests.
Applications can now query TensorRT support.
Improvements
Updated several system service interfaces and command mappings to improve compatibility with newer software.
The applet stores a CPU-overclock request. Application proxy commands return performance and graphics-scaling interfaces. The graphics-scaling interface returns a scale of 10 and zeroes for two other outputs; performance commands query or set the applet request.
TensorRT support response src/core/hle/service/am/service/application_functions.*
Command 230 now reports TensorRT support as true and returns success.
Several commands receive descriptive names. Their existing stub responses remain. The graphics-supervisor handler still returns an INx2GraphicsSystemSession.
Audio service sessions
Layer / File(s)
Summary
Audio service registration and session types src/core/hle/service/audio/audio.cpp, src/core/hle/service/audio/nx2_audio_device_manager.h, src/core/hle/service/audio/nx2_audio_user_client.h
The audio services register renamed user-session classes. Device-manager and sysmix session classes and returned interfaces use the new names. Existing command mappings and stream behavior remain largely unchanged.
Friend GameChat services
Layer / File(s)
Summary
GameChat commands and object responses src/core/hle/service/friend/friend.cpp
GameChat registers additional session commands and opens layout, virtual-camera, and selective-talk objects. Room-info requests return a zero-filled 0xF0-byte buffer. The session uses a stub event reply instead of its former service-owned event lifecycle.
HID service commands
Layer / File(s)
Summary
HID command handlers and stored state src/core/hle/service/hid/hid_server.*
Vibration commands gain request handling and a mounted-state query. Scene IDs and Nmouse pointer dimensions are stored and retrieved per applet. Missing values default to zero-initialized state. Other command labels change while their stub behavior remains.
Switch 2 ioctl command A/0xb dispatches to GetSyncRoMap. Its parameter fields are base_gpuva, sync_size, and num_syncpoints; the structure remains 16 bytes.
Scene-ID replies can be incorrect, and pointer-range settings for different applet IDs can overwrite each other. Correct the HID command arguments before merging.
Security architecture risk: Low · up to 70fa0
The changes mostly refine existing emulated interfaces rather than add privileged capabilities. One limited isolation issue exists: the new HID caches can share state between requests that omit caller identity. Normal identity-bearing requests remain separately keyed, and broader access to host resources or sensitive data was not established.
Retained concerns
Low · security · inferred: The new per-applet HID caches accept PID zero when a request omits its PID descriptor. Independently invoking clients that omit identity can therefore read or overwrite the same scene-ID and pointer-range entries instead of receiving isolated state. The decoder behavior predates this PR, but the shared, observable cache state is new. Normal identity-bearing requests use their actual process IDs; access to those entries or to host resources through this path was not demonstrated.
Security review details
Security Blast Radius
inferred — The identified isolation issue requires access to the existing HID command surface and is bounded by the inspected implementation to scene-ID and pointer-range entries under the zero identity. It does not demonstrate access to ordinary PID-keyed entries, credentials, persistent storage, or a host-memory write sink.
Security Findings and Attack Paths
inferred — A caller can omit the sent-PID descriptor while supplying the command's raw payload. The request then retains PID zero, the serializer forwards zero as ClientAppletResourceUserId, and the new setter or getter accesses the common zero-key entry. Another identity-less caller using the same service object can observe or replace that entry. This is a source-derived path, not an executed exploit.
Trust Boundaries and Controls
observed — When the PID descriptor is present, the request parser obtains identity from the calling thread's owner process rather than trusting the guest's PID words. The serializer substitutes that identity for ClientProcessId arguments. This protects normal callers from arbitrary raw-ID selection, but the inspected wrapper does not reject a missing descriptor.
Resilience and Maintainability Implications
observed — GameChat's added camera, audio, and room-facing operations remain placeholders in the inspected blocks. Event requests lazily reuse an event owned by the individual service object, whose destructor closes it. These changes do not implement actual streaming or shared room state in those handlers.
Hardening Proposals
proposed — For the new stateful HID commands, reject missing caller identity or derive identity directly from the owning process independently of the optional descriptor. Align cache cleanup with applet-resource teardown and Nmouse finalization before these placeholders gain additional resource authority.

Explanation
Issue #123 requires the Yoshi demo to reach the title screen and save menu without aborting. Its coding requirements cover GPU device and command-stream handling, image lookup, shader support, and H.264 detection. The whole-PR summary shows only Switchbrew renames and unrelated AM, chat, HID, audio, and nvdrv changes. It does not show implementation or automated coverage for the #123 requirements.
Resolution
Add or link reviewable implementation for the #123 GPU, image, shader, and H.264 requirements, and add automated regression coverage for the Yoshi boot/title behavior. If that implementation already exists at the reviewed head, provide code and test evidence that establishes the required behavior.

Explanation
The changed files implement Switchbrew naming updates and behavior for AM, chat, HID, audio, nvdrv, and nx2:gsv. The linked issue #123 concerns Yoshi demo GPU execution, image lookup, shader support, and H.264 playback. The PR evidence does not establish a connection between these changes and that issue.
Resolution
Separate these Switch 2 interface and behavior changes from issue #123, or provide concrete code and test evidence that each changed area is required for the Yoshi demo objective.

Full details: Title check
Explanation
The title "Switchbrew names" is vague and generic. It does not say what changed. The PR objectives show the main change is renaming Switch 2 HLE commands, interfaces, and ioctls to match Switchbrew names, plus several new or updated stub behaviors. The title names the right theme, but a teammate scanning history cannot tell the scope from the title alone.
Resolution
Rewrite the title to name the primary change. For example: "Rename Switch 2 HLE services and commands to Switchbrew names". Keep it to one short sentence.

Will say TensorRT, will need to be experimented as enabling it slows down boot times, but doesnt cause game crashes but it could re enable internal upscaling like FSR, or anything tied to TensorRtSupported

Took Switchbrew's names. Kept nx2's working 213/214 vibration and 320/321 IMU
handlers under those names (the PR stubbed them), took its 220, scene id and
Nmouse commands, and kept the aud:u session's audio manager arguments.

With skip_cpu_inner_invalidation on, InnerInvalidation returned before
telling any cache about the accumulated writes. Engines that write images
in software (the Maxwell DMA pitch to block linear copy of hardware decoded
movie frames) reach the texture cache only through this path, so the movie
textures stayed stale and played as a black screen.
Still invalidate the texture cache for those ranges; buffer, query and
pipeline invalidation stay skipped. The default (OpenGL, null) path does
the same.
