CSPS device assembly

Overview

This page presents examples of cameras that can be considered as device assembly in the way defined by the CSPS library. The models presented here are Elphel products that come with GPS reciever and an inertial measurement unit (IMU).

Elphel Eyesis4Pi

The Elphel Eyesis4Pi camera assembly is a 26 sensors device that is able to record the entire sphere surrounding the device. In addition, two stereo-pairs are mounted with the two corresponding sensors in the device top. It comes with a GPS reciever and an inertial measurement unit as illustrated on the following image (copyright (c) Elphel, Inc. under CC BY-SA 3.0) :

The GPS reciever is at center-top of the assembly when the IMU is just above. The CSPS library is responsible for GPS and IMU signal processing in order to provides camera orientation and position over time.

NC353L-369-IMU-GPS

The NC353L-369-IMU-GPS camera is a single sensor camera that is provided with a GPS reciever and an inertial measurement unit. The inertial unit is attached to the camera as illustrated in the following image (copyright (c) Elphel, Inc. under CC BY-SA 3.0) :

The GPS reciever is plugged to the camera through serial connector providing camera position over time.
