Closes #434

What

  • Subtexts: every description in the settings app (schema rows and pages, tray menu items, onboarding, About) is one short plain line: no commas, punctuation, symbols or references. Labels and search keywords are unchanged.
  • Responsive layout: rows stack the control under the text when the card gets narrow (stacked sliders fill the row), the sidebar and banners adapt to narrow and short windows, and content width is capped on very wide windows. The window's own minimum is 820x560; the layout also holds below that.
  • Tests: new ui/tests/responsive.spec.js checks for no horizontal overflow, no control leaving its card and subtexts staying on one line, across 420x700 to 2560x1440 on every page. Existing tests now expect the new text; one prefs assertion follows the stacked layout at 820 px.

How it was made

Sonnet rewrote the copy and the layout, Opus reviewed both (13 findings, all applied), and I checked screenshots at the default 1040x740 and the minimum 820x560 size.

Tests

  • npx playwright test in ui/: 189 passed (176 before plus 13 new).
  • build.bat test: 603 passed, 0 failed. build.bat and build.bat config build clean.
  • Installed locally as 0.26.2 (signed copy verified).

Version: 0.26.1 -> 0.26.2 (fix). Release unsigned as before.

…26.2

Every settings subtext is one short plain line with no punctuation, symbols or references.
Rows stack the control under the text in narrow cards, stacked sliders fill the row, the
sidebar and banners adapt to narrow and short windows, and content width is capped on very
wide ones. New responsive Playwright tests cover overflow and one-line subtexts.

The separate ease time (panGlideMs) is gone: the ease follows the glide distance (40 px = 60 ms,
up to 240 ms), so one slider sets how far and how gently the pointer coasts. The old key is ignored.
