Settings
The GSF Parser offers quite a few settings the user can change to change the behaviour of the GSF Parser. The settings are divided into the following categories: GUI settings, Parsing settings, Share settings and Real-time Parsing settings.
The color of all the text you see in the user interface, except for the text in Listboxes such as the events boxes. You can choose a custom color, this must be entered as a HEX-colorcode.
The default GSF Parser logo has a green theme, as it does not choose between either the Imperial or Republic Faction. However, you can choose sides! You can choose a blue or a red theme for the logo as well. The logo is displayed as the icon in the task bar and at start-up in the splash screen.
You can choose either None to disable the highlighting of events in different colors, basic for only a simple highlighting of events or advanced to also distinguish between, for example, types of abilities and type of weapon damage dealt with.
You can change the colors of the events to something you find easy on the eyes. By default, the colors look like this with advanced colors enabled:
An option for lighter pastel colors is also available:
You can even create your own custom color scheme by selecting Custom and clicking the Choose colors button. You will see a window like this:
You can either enter a HEX color code for each color manually (please note that the color of the entry box will not update when entering manually!), or you can choose to use the graphical user interface that you might recognize from other programs such as Paint:
You can use the Export button in the color scheme window to export your custom profile to a text file so you can share it with your friends or take it with you to another device. You can import your settings with the Import button.
You can choose the format the dates are displayed in to fit your locale. You can choose either YYYY-MM-DD (e.g. 2016-02-24) or YYYY-DD-MM (e.g. 2016-24-02).
You have the option to choose the images and names of the ships of the Republic Faction instead of just the Imperial Faction.

This is the folder where the GSF Parser goes to look for your CombatLogs. The files found here are used for both realtime parsing and file parsing. This folder is automatically generated at the first run of the GSF Parser, and you will receive an error message if the folder cannot be found. You can change the folder by either entering the folder manually or by clicking the Choose button and selecting a folder in a nice interface.
This is a feature that is planned with the GSF Server. Using the GSF Server, the GSF Parser would be able to determine the names of the enemies that attacked you, with what weapons they did this and by whom you were killed. However, as the GSF Server is not ready yet, this feature is not yet available.
Here you can enter the domain name of the server you would like to use for name sharing and other GSF Server features. The GSF Server will initially be available on parser.thrantasquadron.tk if it is ready, but you can of course choose to run your own server. All servers based on GSF Server code will be able to handle characters on different servers and factions.
This is a feature that is planned with the GSF Server. You will be able to choose whether all your CombatLogs will be automatically uploaded for both statistical analysis and providing a Leaderboard to the GSF Server. However, as the GSF Server is not ready yet, this feature is not yet available.
Some settings in this section speak for itself, but the more complicated ones are highlighted below.
This is an index number that sets the opacity (transparency) of the overlay window as a whole. At 1.0, all contents are solid. At 0.0, all contents are invisible.
If you choose a small size for the overlay, the statistics shown are limited to four (damage dealt, damage taken, selfdamage and healing received) and the overlay is about half as large as in the big variant.
When this setting is enabled, the overlay is only shown if the player is detected to be in a GSF match. This will happen as soon as the user executes a GSF ability. This means there might be a short delay in the appearance of the overlay. The overlay will hide itself as soon as the match ends.
This is the amount of time in seconds that the GSF Parser sleeps after a check cycle on the most recent CombatLog. If you increase this, changes are detected more quickly, but the performance penalty (IO usage) increases. It is not recommended to change this unless you are experiencing performance issues.
