Previously, the agent executed all plan steps sequentially. This resulted in an N+1 request pattern where each step (even independent ones like reading multiple files) had to wait for the previous one to complete, including full HTTP round-trip latency.

Using a benchmark with 5 consecutive
readFileoperations (simulated with 100ms latency each):The implementation correctly handles mixed workloads by only batching consecutive safe steps, preserving the order and safety for tools with side effects.
