If you are having trouble figuring out Camera ID's, you can call upon the Identification Assistant with Shift+Control+I

Camera Identification

Super Mario Galaxy 1/2 identify what object is supposed to use a camera based off an Identification system. If an object uses a camera, it will have a unique ID that links the object to the camera inside the .bcam file. As shown in the image above, A Camera ID Starts with a prefix. The prefix determines which Camera Category the camera belongs to.

Camera Categories

There are 5 categories:

  • c:XXXX Links to Camera Areas (Example: c:0000 links to a Camera Area with a Camera ID of 0)
  • s:XXXX Links to Player Spawns. (Example: s:0000 links to a Spawn with a Camera ID of 0)
  • e:__________XXX Links to a specific object. Like a launch star. (Example: e:スーパースピンドライバー:001:00番目 links to a Launch star with Camera ID 1)
  • o:__________ Special cameras for things like the default camera the galaxy will use.
  • g:__________ Links to group, but nobody knows how to use it yet so there isn't any special features for it.

Event ID

Event ID's are used for Event Cameras and link to a specific object. Launch Cam Plus has a built in list of currently known events (In English) that you can choose from. Below you can find all of the ones available.

- Sling Star Appearance (Belongs to object "SpinDriver")
- Sling Star (Belongs to object "SpinDriver")

- Scenario Starter (Belongs to object "ScenarioStarter")
- Power Star Appearance (Belongs to object "PowerStar")
- Warp Pipe (Belongs to object "EarthenPipe")
- Simple Demo Executor (Belongs to object "SimpleDemoExecutor")
- Sproutle Vine Appearance (Belongs to object "Plant")
- Sproutle Vine (Belongs to object "Plant")
- Sprauto Vine (Belongs to object "PlantSlider")
- Hungry Luma Transformation (Belongs to object "TicoFatCoin")
- Hungry Luma Flight (SMG1) (Belongs to object "TicoFatStarPiece")
