The Preset Creator
Launch Cam Plus provides users with a very useful Preset service. This is the Window used for creating these presets.
Presets are saved in a custom file format called "Launch Cam Plus Preset" (.LCPP)
Launch Cam Plus can use these presets when editing cameras.
These are useful if you don't want to make the same camera multiple times over during the development of your levels, or if you want to help someone (be it the entire community, or just your teammates) get a specific camera into their level.
Every Preset contains the following:
- The Name of the preset
- The Name of the person who made it
- The Cameras in the preset
Note: The character limit is 64 characters for the Preset Name & Preset Creator Name.
To make a preset, you need to have made the cameras already before opening the Preset creator. When you have the cameras ready, in the preset creator, select the camera and press the yellow arrow pointing to the right. Doing this will move the camera to the preset.
Tip: If you accidentally added the wrong camera, you can select the incorrect camera and press the yellow arrow pointing left to remove it from the preset.
If you have made a preset that is valuable enough to be added to the Official Preset bank, Open a new issue titled "Preset Request". Alternatively, use the Issue Template for Presets.
Attach your LCPP file and submit the issue. You'll know if it's been accepted or not by the tag that will get added once it gets reviewed.
- A green Preset Accepted tag means your preset will be included in the next version of Launch Cam Plus.
- A red Preset Unaccepted tag means your preset will not be included. You'll be told why it wasn't included.
Note: Once your issue has been reviewed and tagged, it will be closed.
As of The Compression and Scanning Update, users can Compress .lcpp files into smaller .lcpc files. You'll see that a compressed preset file cannot be submitted during a preset request, and that is because the two formats are very different, thus, the uncompressed one is needed to properly add a new Official Preset.
