Every battery in the tray, a KDE widget, and raising the window on Wayland - #5
The tray menu lists every device UPower reports a battery for (UPS, wireless mice, controllers) next to the headset. It also gains CPU temp and pump/fan speeds. Rows are added and removed as devices come and go.
One status_rows list feeds the menu, the tooltip and the widget, so they always match.
parse_upower reads upower --dump and handles comma decimals (57,5%). It has a test.
KDE widget (plasmoid/)
The panel shows the headset battery %. The popup lists every row plus an "Open Rig Hub" / "Start Rig Hub" button.
Rig Hub writes $XDG_RUNTIME_DIR/rig-hub-status.json when the rows change, using write + rename. The widget polls the file every 5s and checks pgrep first, so it shows "Rig Hub isn't running" rather than stale numbers.
The widget files are built into the binary (include_str!). On KDE, Rig Hub writes them to ~/.local/share/plasma/plasmoids/com.susiee.righub at startup whenever they differ. Any way of updating Rig Hub updates the widget too, and new users just add "Rig Hub" from Add Widgets.
Raising the window on Wayland
On Wayland winit's focus_window is a no-op. "Open Rig Hub" from the widget, a tray click or a second launch left an open window buried. Rig Hub now asks KWin over D-Bus to activate its window with a one-off script, and tries again after a short delay so freshly opened windows are mapped first. Off KDE the calls fail quietly and nothing changes.
Validation
cargo clippy --all-targets -- -D warnings: clean
cargo test: pass (7 tests)
Checked that deleting the installed widget and starting Rig Hub reinstalls it, identical to plasmoid/.
Tested by hand on KDE Plasma 6.8 Wayland: the tray menu shows the headset and the APC UPS. The widget shows all rows. "Open Rig Hub" focuses a buried window and opens a new focused window after closing to the tray. Tray left-click focuses too.
The tray menu now lists every battery UPower knows about (UPS,
wireless mice, controllers) next to the headset, plus CPU temp and
pump/fan speeds. One status_rows list feeds the menu, the tooltip and
a status file in $XDG_RUNTIME_DIR that the new Plasma widget in
plasmoid/ polls: headset % in the panel, everything in the popup.

On Wayland winit's focus_window is a no-op, so 'Open Rig Hub' from the
widget, the tray or a second launch left an open window buried. On KDE

The tray now collects UPower battery data and publishes device status through runtime JSON. A KDE Plasma applet reads that status and can start or open Rig Hub. Linux window-show paths invoke KWin scripting to unminimize and activate the Rig Hub window.
Changes: Battery Status and Plasma Applet
Layer / File(s)
Summary
Collect UPower battery status src/audio.rs, src/workers.rs
UPower output is parsed into battery devices, with tests for UPS, mouse, line-power, and display-summary entries. The headset worker stores the devices in application state.
Build tray rows and publish status src/main.rs
The tray builds rows for headset and detected batteries, temperatures, pump and fan speeds, and mouse DPI. It updates the menu and tooltip, then writes status and panel battery data to JSON.
Read and display status in Plasma plasmoid/metadata.json, plasmoid/contents/ui/main.qml, README.md
The applet polls for Rig Hub and its status JSON, displays the panel value and status rows, and offers a button to start or open Rig Hub. The README describes the widget and its installation and update behavior.

The plasmoid files are embedded with include_str! and written to the
user's Plasma widgets folder on KDE whenever they differ, so any way
of updating Rig Hub (install script, cargo install) updates the widget
too, and new users just pick 'Rig Hub' from Add Widgets.

Bind the status JSON to the current Rig Hub process.
When a previous process leaves rig-hub-status.json, the widget accepts that file as soon as pgrep -x rig-hub finds the new process. If the immediate poll runs before the new process's first Tray::refresh, the widget displays stale readings. Remove stale status data as part of process startup or add a process-generation value that the widget validates.

Open the status temporary file exclusively. The usual runtime and cache directories are per-user, but the std::env::temp_dir() fallback can select shared /tmp. Sticky-directory protection does not stop std::fs::write from following an attacker-created symlink there. A local user can therefore overwrite a file writable by Rig Hub. This is a narrow, environment-dependent data-loss risk, not a major impact.

Create the selected fallback directory before writing.
When XDG_RUNTIME_DIR is unset and the selected cache directory does not exist, status publication and KWin script creation fail. Neither writer creates the directory. The status writer returns false and retries later without publishing status. The KWin path returns without reporting an error, so activation does not occur.
private_dir() is shared by both writers. Create the directory in that helper. This is less likely on a standard desktop, where these directories usually exist, but it can occur in a fresh or custom user environment.

Fixed in 8079e98: no temp-dir fallback anymore. private_dir() is $XDG_RUNTIME_DIR or ~/.cache only, and it now creates the directory (covers the outside-diff note too).
