ram: default to no masking #10564

Currently, -mask_size is a required parameter. If a user wants to have no masking, then they must specify mask_size = word_size, which is unintuitive.

Change the behavior so that -mask_size is an optional parameter, and if unspecified, no masking is used (mask_size = word_size).
