Mapper now presents the workflow as a proposed automation plan: a trigger, inputs, implementation steps, human review, failure handling and checks before launch. Missing details remain visible for the user to confirm. The plan is included in the existing Markdown and PDF exports.

Local desktop, 1280

Local phone, 390

Try it: Run npm run dev without a model key, choose Meeting follow-up, and open the plan. Sample mode produces a checklist that needs completion; it does not run an automation.

Check these before merging

  • Not production ready. The existing public model endpoint has no verified durable rate limit or spend cap. Its body guard reads the request before checking actual size. Add and verify those controls before enabling unrestricted paid-model use.
  • Live output is unverified. No paid request was made. Evaluate the plan against representative workflows and verify the provider path, including failures, before relying on it.
  • Privacy. Live input is sent to OpenAI. The composer now says so; confirm the production data-handling policy before inviting teams to send internal process documents.
  • Risk and rollback. The response parser accepts the new optional plan fields; older responses still work. Revert this PR to remove the plan. There is no database migration.
  • Review. This PR preserves the recent main-branch redesign and focus-handling work. The concept's edit and run-test controls are absent because the app does not execute automations.

What changed

  • Plan. Added structured trigger, inputs, steps, human review, failure handling and test guidance to the UI and exported brief.
  • Clarity. The UI says the plan is proposed, indicates missing details, and explains whether inputs are sent to the model or a sample is being shown.
  • Presentation. The plan uses the existing responsive light/dark design system. Chat messages arrive gently, the composer has clearer focus feedback, and brief cards and send controls respond to interaction. Reduced motion disables these movements. Native CSS only; no added dependency or paid assets. Motion inspiration: Transitions.dev.
  • Docs and tests. Documented the production gates and added a regression for plan export.

Verification

  • Local npm run lint && npm test after integrating current main: lint, TypeScript and production build passed; 54 tests passed, none skipped.
  • Local browser, sample mode: Meeting follow-up streamed a reply and produced the plan sections. The mobile panel opened and closed. At 390px there was no horizontal overflow. Emulated reduced motion applied a 0.01ms message animation; browser console had no errors. No paid calls were made.
  • Not checked: live provider, real downloaded files, tablet, screen reader, physical device, deployed preview or production.
  • Focused security review: traced input handling and model boundaries. Existing validation rejects remote file URLs; durable abuse/spend controls and streaming body limits remain open. Independent review has not completed.

Follow-ups

  • Implement durable abuse and cost controls, then run a representative evaluation and an approved, bounded live smoke test.
  • Review the mobile panel with a screen reader and verify actual exports.
  • Record a Screen Studio walkthrough once the selected revision is verified.
