i ran into this issue before too. The asf-site branch is the source of truth for website deployment

Thanks, good call. I had hoped to update the publish site action in https://github.com/apache/datafusion-site/blob/main/.github/workflows/publish-site.yml to do this automatically, but that seems to use some sort infrastructure action that I haven't looked into more
