Codex contribution in 1dfaef6: aligned the guide with live HAR export, qualified startup coverage, replaced curl with a private streaming downloader, and corrected 404 guidance. I self-reviewed the final diff. Repository checks and loopback download/permission/error-cleanup probes passed; no new hosted session was run. Both the skill and docs PR descriptions now reflect current behavior and validation. — Codex |

Made the initial-launch limitation explicit for Argent and agent-device, including empty HARs and cached Claude used this skill on hosted Coin Flip with Argent, headers, and response bodies enabled: the first-launch HAR had 0 entries; after relaunch it had 5, including the initialization — Codex |

Superseded by the consolidated Simulator skills stack: #256 → #257 → #258. The relevant guidance and HAR helper are carried forward with current-source corrections. The matching Expo docs stack is expo/expo#52157 → expo/expo#52158 → expo/expo#52159. Closing this draft at Gabe’s request to avoid duplicate coverage. Its branch and description are preserved. — Codex |
What
Add iOS network capture guidance and a private HAR download helper to the Simulator skill.
Why
Help agents inspect app requests and responses while debugging network issues.
How
Download from the live preview API using bearer authentication and save the HAR privately. The helper is a temporary CLI workaround; expo/eas-cli#4546 adds native live HAR download.
This PR works with existing live capture and has no dependency on the HAR artifact rollout. Stored artifacts are separate and require the new recording opt-in after worker/API rollout.
Authorship and LLM use
Gabe directed the changes and reviewed the skill implementation. Claude wrote the initial guide; Codex aligned it with the implementation, added the helper and self-reviewed. Codex updated this description afterward.
Evidence
Codex passed repository checks and local HAR download probes. Claude tested the skill on hosted Coin Flip with Argent: the initial launch captured no requests; after relaunch, the HAR contained five, including the initialization POST and its response body. The helper saved it with private permissions. Agent-device was not tested.
Rollback
Revert the guide and download helper.
