fix(spec): reject several targets in a relationship property - #1599
A relationship property takes one flag or argument. Writing several in one value was accepted and enforced nothing:
flag"--a"conflicts="--b --c"flag"--b"flag"--c"
--b --c was read as a single selector that matches no flag, so --a --b and --a --c both parsed without error. Repeating the property (conflicts="--b" conflicts="--c") silently kept only the last one.
Both forms are now rejected when the spec loads:
conflicts takes one flag or argument per property, but "--b --c" has several; write them as a child node instead: conflicts "--a" "--b"
conflicts is given more than once; the second would replace the first, so write several as a child node instead: conflicts "--a" "--b"
The child-node form already worked and is unchanged:
flag"--a" {
conflicts"--b""--c"
}
Only a value containing a dashed word (a flag spelling) is refused. A bare selector names a positional, and a positional's name may contain a space (arg "[input file]"), so conflicts="input file" keeps working.
The same trap existed for overrides, requires, required_if, required_unless and required_unless_all, so the check covers all of them on flags, and the relevant ones on positionals.
Specs that currently load with a multi-target property value were not enforcing it, and now need rewriting to the child-node form. I chose rejection over splitting the value on spaces so the format keeps a single way to write a list.
docs/spec/reference/flag.md now documents the child-node form for several conflicts and the load-time errors.
Tests cover each property on flags and positionals, both error cases, the child-node form, and a positional name containing a space. cargo test --all --all-features and clippy pass.

Specification loading now rejects repeated relationship properties and property values containing multiple flag selectors, rather than treating them as a single selector. Positional argument names containing spaces remain supported.
Multiple relationship targets can be declared using child-node syntax, with one argument per target.
Documentation
Updated the flag reference to explain supported syntax and loading errors for relationship properties, including conflicts, overrides, and requirement rules.
`conflicts="--b --c"` was read as one selector named "--b --c", which matches
nothing, so the spec loaded and enforced nothing. Repeating the property kept
only the last. Both are now errors that point at the child-node form
(`conflicts "--b" "--c"`). The same check applies to `overrides`, `requires`,
`required_if`, `required_unless` and `required_unless_all` on flags and
positionals.

Walkthrough
Relationship properties now reject repeated declarations and multiple whitespace-separated selectors in one property. Serialization uses child-node syntax when a selector does not fit in a property. The reference documentation describes child-node syntax for multiple conflicts.

Summary
Parse and validate relationship selectors lib/src/spec/helpers.rs, lib/src/spec/arg.rs, lib/src/spec/flag.rs, docs/spec/reference/flag.md
Shared helpers reject repeated properties and invalid multi-selector property values. Argument and flag parsing use these checks, and serialization uses child-node syntax for selectors that do not fit in a property. Tests cover invalid property forms and multiple conflicts targets in a child node. The reference documents these rules.

Full details: Linked Issues check
Explanation
Issue #1598 requires rejection or parsing of multi-target conflicts property values and documentation of the child-node form. The parser now rejects values such as "--b --c" during spec loading, rejects repeated relationship properties, and preserves the child-node form. The flag reference documents these rules. Tests cover flags, positionals, repeated properties, child nodes, and positional names with spaces.
Full details: Out of Scope Changes check
Explanation
The changes stay within the relationship-property problem in #1598. The added checks for overrides, requires, required_if, required_unless, and required_unless_all address the same silent multi-target and replacement behavior on the relevant declarations. Serialization changes, tests, and documentation support this behavior. No unrelated change is demonstrated.
Full details: Docstring Coverage
Explanation
Docstring coverage is 27.27% which is insufficient. The required threshold is 80.00%. Docstring coverage is scoped to functions touched by this diff with cyclomatic complexity of at least 2. Documentation-only edits and deletions within surviving functions are included; unchanged diff context and fully deleted functions are excluded. Analyzed 11 functions across 3 files.
Resolution
Write docstrings for the functions missing them to satisfy the coverage threshold.

Shadow comparison
Parsing mise use -g node@20 against a shadow of mise's committed spec.
Reported, not gated: the shadow grows as the derive learns to express more, so
what to watch is the ratio rather than either column.
Only a value with a dashed word is refused as several flags. A bare selector
names a positional, and `arg "[input file]"` is named `input file`, so
`conflicts="input file"` matched it before and still does.

A child node can name a positional like `input - file`, but written back as
`conflicts="input - file"` it reads as a list of flags and is refused. Every
single-selector serializer now falls back to the child-node form for such a
selector, so a spec round-trips.
