Against the four criteria

Criterion Where to look
Technical implementation A real stack, not a prototype: 26 Lambdas, IoT Core and a WebSocket fallback, three Strands agents on Bedrock AgentCore, Step Functions errands that run for days, an MCP server with OAuth 2.1, all in Terraform and deployed over OIDC. More than 6,700 tests, property tests on the two rules that matter most, and a build that fails if a mock can reach the running product. See Architecture, Testing and Security Model.
Design A television designed for someone who will not learn anything: one button, three things at most, type never below 32 pt, contrast of at least 7:1, no red, no beeps. A note never talks over a scene, and the break points are measured, not guessed. See Features and The Idea.
Potential impact Ageing at home is a large and growing problem, and the products for it serve the worried, not the person. Wick serves her, and the family who pays. There is a second market in home-care agencies, and a business model in docs/WICK.md. See The Idea.
Quality of the idea Turn the product around: the resident is the user and the family is the customer. Consent is a press on her own remote, "keep it to myself" looks exactly like nothing happened, and only Amazon has the screen, the doorbell and the assistant. See Privacy and Trust.

The mini challenges

AWS Builder. Wick uses a wide range of AWS services for jobs each is good at: IoT Core for the television's channel, AgentCore and Bedrock for agents and models, Step Functions for a task that runs for days, Scheduler for a three-minute wait, App Runner for the server, and Rekognition, Polly, Translate and Transcribe for the senses. The full map is on Amazon Services.

Open Source. Two pieces are extracted and published:

Built on the simulators, then run on a real Fire TV

Wick was built on Amazon's simulators, which the hackathon allows, and then run on a real Fire TV Stick 4K Select. This wiki says plainly what is real and what stands in: see Status and Honesty.
