Computation, systems, and economic infrastructure.

Most projects begin with one of three things:

  • missing tooling
  • inaccessible information
  • systems that need modelling

Current interests:

  • econometrics and inference
  • networked systems and simulations
  • distributed/backend engineering
  • computational social science
  • spatial and urban systems
  • protocol and API analysis
  • information infrastructure

Typical work involves:

  • data pipelines
  • reverse engineering
  • asynchronous systems
  • statistical analysis
  • mathematical modelling
  • automation
  • low-level tooling

I mostly build analytical and research infrastructure rather than finished products.

The recurring theme across projects is understanding how complex systems behave: markets, platforms, institutions, cities, networks, and the information flowing through them.
