The generated default semver group split Tauri major updates from the rest of its family. Detect Tauri dependencies in JavaScript and Cargo manifests and emit an all-version alignment group before the fallback groups, with explicit fallback exclusions.
Generator and guard use the same group owner. Detection includes Cargo workspace and target dependency tables while excluding arbitrary package metadata; repositories without Tauri retain their existing grouping. Tests cover ownership, group/exclusion generation, missing major coverage, and guard rejection of independently damaged contracts.
Dependabot grouping now detects Tauri dependencies in JavaScript and Cargo manifests. It adds an ecosystem-specific tauri group, excludes those dependencies from policy groups, and validates the generated group configuration.

Summary
Detect Tauri dependencies and define group exclusions packages/oxlint-config/src/toolchain-dependabot.ts
groupsFor detects Tauri dependencies in JavaScript and Cargo manifest dependency tables. It adds matching patterns to policy-group exclusions and places the Tauri group after GitHub Actions groups.
Generate and validate aligned groups packages/oxlint-config/src/toolchain-dependabot.ts, packages/oxlint-config/src/toolchain-dependabot.test.ts, packages/oxlint-config/README.md, .changeset/tauri-alignment-groups.md
Generated groups include update types and exclusions. Validation checks expected group keys and configured exclusions. Tests cover JavaScript and Cargo dependency owners, unrelated manifests and metadata, and missing group fields. The README and changeset describe the grouping.

Merge Risk: Low · up to 2d170
A malformed manifest can interrupt Dependabot checks instead of returning diagnostics. The risk is bounded because correcting the manifest restores the workflow.

Preserve diagnostics when a manifest cannot be parsed.
If a package.json or Cargo.toml contains tauri but has invalid syntax, JSON.parse or parseToml throws here. checkDependabot then stops before the guard can return its collected diagnostics. Root discovery already tolerates malformed manifests so that other rules can report them. Handle parse errors in this detection path and treat the manifest as having no detected Tauri dependency.
