Installation Guide

There are two options:

1) Install the Python source code

• You will need the Python environment: Setup Python environment
  
• For source code, there are two options "pip install" and "git clone" : Install CatSim Python package
• (Optional) Python IDE setup, such as VSCode, Pycharm: Setup Python IDE
  
  

2) Don't like "installing"? How about Portable & Executable?

We have compiled the Python package into executable using Pyinstaller
Currently supported OS: Windows 7/10/11 64-bit, MacOS.

• Download the software from GitHub as a zip file, including configuration files.
• After downloading, extract the Zip file.
• Within the same folder, download and replace executable file according to your OS. For example, for windows, download gecatsim_Windows.exe, for MacOS, download gecatsim_MacOS.exe
