Signalbox operating
Here you will find, how you can operate with the signalbox after you have drawn your layout and configured your tracks and signals.
INFO: You can close any window with right-click!
Our signalbox operate on the principle of start and destination input. So to set a pathway, first select the start signal and then the destination signal of the desired route with left-click. If there is a possible connection, the pathway will be set (it will turn green) and all switches and (shunting) signals in this pathway will be set to the defined position. It is not possible to skip signals of the same type (unless it was explicitly permitted for this signal).
-
If blocking and resetting is equipped, the pathway blocks as soon as a train occupies it (it turns red) and resets when the train leaves the section.
-
Pathways can also be reset manually. To do this, right-click on the tile in front of the actual pathways-begin and then reset the pathway in the Info & Help panel.
-
A pathway can be set once and then you can save another pathway from the starting signal to the same or a other destination signal.
-
With the yellow arrows you can set pathways between two signalboxes (intersignalbox pathway).
There are different types of pathways. In general you can set pathways only between signals of equal path type.
A distinction is made between normal drive pathways (1 - 8) and shunting pathways (9 - 20) and direct-traffic-control pathways (7 - 8, 15 - 16, 21 - 24):
- main signal to main signal
- main signal to buffer stop
- main signal to shunting signal (NOT POSSIBLE)
- main signal to shunting holding signal (NOT POSSIBLE)
- main signal to another signalbox
- main signal to dead signal
- main signal to Ne1 (direct traffic control)
- main signal to Ne5 (direct traffic control)
- shunting signal to main signal (NOT POSSIBLE)
- shunting signal to buffer stop
- shunting signal to shunting signal
- shunting signal to shunting holding signal
- shunting signal to another signalbox (NOT POSSIBLE)
- shunting signal to dead signal
- shunting signal to Ne1 (direct traffic control) (NOT POSSIBLE)
- shunting signal to Ne5 (direct traffic control) (NOT POSSIBLE)
- main signal with shunting signal to main signal with shunting signal (here you can select between drive pathway and shunting pathway)
- main signal with shunting signal to shunting signal
- shunting signal to main signal with shunting signal
- main signal with shunting signal to shunting holding signal
- Ne1 to Ne1 (direct traffic control)
- Ne1 to Ne5 (direct traffic control)
- Ne5 to Ne1 (direct traffic control)
- Ne5 to Ne5 (direct traffic control)
At the 'Info&Help Panel' at the right, you will find more possibilities, like emergency stop, redstone outputs, saved pathways, a counter for auxiliary operations and additional options depending on the selected tile.
Here you can see all available redstone outputs, like switches. You can also select them and control the output manually.
A pathway can be set once and then you can save another pathway from the starting signal to the same or a other destination signal.
Here you can find a list of all saved pathways. You can delete them or show them up.
The counter counts auxiliary operations of the signalbox. These include manual route reset or the use of subsidiary signals. The counter goes up to 9999 and then starts from the beginning.
If the auto pathway has been activated at the current signal, this signal is automatically re-set after it was occupied and dissolved.
You can also manually reset any pathway. Therefore right-click at the first tile before the pathway starts.
Example:
If the pathway starts at the left 'B', you have to select the tile before that (which is marked blue here) and then select 'Reset path'.
INFO: It will also work with occupied paths (red ones) and partially pathways which starts not at a signal.
If a signal is selected with a right-click, you can change subsidiary (substitute and additional signals), like drive on sight.
Train numbers can be entered on green or red path elements. Train numbers can be shown at connected train number fields. The train number will also follow the train through the signalbox.
You can also delete there the train numbers by using the X button.
if you select a tile with a configurated redstone output, you can select, see and change here the status of the given redstone output.
Here you can configure the selected tile.
