Launchpad and Microfreak figures now use verified public B2 URLs. Each of the 178 guide images has an Asset/B2 page and adjacent DVC metadata; working copies remain under
assets/.remote/. Replaced the image links on 139 guide pages and removed only the specified committed PNGs. Other assets, including the slot-397 preset export, remain outside the migration.The uploader uses B2's authenticated discovery of its S3 endpoint for public downloads, retaining complete MIME, length and SHA-256 verification. Private downloads retain their authenticated Native endpoint. Asset add/push/fetch/status no longer install FFmpeg, while conversion and media validation retain it. The asset, upload-task and book-section definitions describe the resulting workflow.
Validation: all named uploads and complete public downloads pass; all DVC backups pass. A repeated named upload retains the same file ID and upload timestamp. Proxy tests (22), pinned DVC/conversion tests (5), media tests (17), and commit identity/format checks pass. A separate fresh checkout restored every image through
asset:fetchusing an independent initially empty cache. All 178 restored SHA-256 values match; 153 unique DVC objects account for content deduplication. An independent acceptance audit passes scope, links, metadata, protected tags/block IDs, and restoration checks.Gitpa PR #23 Launchpad references and PR #24 Microfreak references must re-sync from this source and remove their scoped PNG copies before they become ready for review.
