FAQ and troubleshooting
The mod starts by going to the Adventurer's Guild in the second year. The complete set of requirements are:
- Year 2 or later.
- Not a festival day.
- Is spring or summer.
- In multiplayer you must be the host.
- Please check that your Content Patcher and SMAPI versions are up to date.
- Also check that both the content pack and main mod are installed properly and are the same version.
If you're still having issues feel free to start a post in NexusMods or the Discord, share your log and I'll do what I can to help.
Votes are counted based on popularity. If you have a lot of hearts with many villagers you will probably do alright in the election. It also helps to talk to the villagers about your plans for mayor, give out leaflets and debate with Lewis. If you call Marlon on the phone he will give you a breakdown of your polling data. Details can be found here
Melt down Lewis' one with the furnace and wait a day.
If it's a multiplayer game then only the host can become mayor. Also most of the events are only seen by the host. This may change in the future. Farmhands can vote however.
While I don't test heavily on the mobile version it should work ok.
Sort of. You can make yourself popular to win the election and that should be ok. The main issues seems to come from skipping days with the cheat menu. The mod assumes the day start and day end events happen so skipping past them can break things.
Yes you can. Marlon will ask you again in a follow-up event the next year at the Adventure Guild.
Use any telephone and call "Polling Data". This will give a full report.
If you're the mayor then its in the basement of the Town Hall and is now a mini-fridge. It uses the same action code as the original so it should act the same.
Only one council meeting can be planned at a time. The default is every Thursday but can be changed with GMCM
There are two ways:
- Interact with the old photos on the wall in the Town Hall basement and confirm. The mod resets after sleep.
- Using the SMAPI console run this
MayorModReset
You can check out the github releases page. This contains full and pre-releases. These are releases which are versioned properly and fine to use but not tested as much. Any build that goes to NexusMods will go through a more thorough test run.
- Check the SMAPI console for errors.
- Upload your log at smapi.io/log.
- Open an issue on GitHub or NexusMods bug page and ill do my best to try and help you out.
