Approving. This is the Phase 0 identity change I flagged on #245 and #251, and it lands it properly.
The "no behavior change" claim is accurate — I checked, because four code files is unusual for a docs: PR. All four are comments or copy:
| File | Change |
|---|---|
AppAudioCuePlayer.swift |
comment wording only; the setCategory(.playback, …) line is untouched |
App/Info.plist |
comment above UIBackgroundModes |
project.yml |
comment |
Demo/main.swift |
one print string |
So the audio session fix and background mode survive intact.
Invariants preserved where it matters:
- "Movement is gameplay authority" stated explicitly, not softened
- Adapters still "may not become alternate gameplay authorities"
- Semantic audio required, not demoted to optional — correct, and it is the layer with the strongest device evidence
- The "no major system until repeated physical sessions show return intent" guard retained
- Freeze not lifted: "Phase 0 promotes AR-designed identity without lifting frozen production paths"
The strongest addition is the new invariant: a walk must remain safe and completable when AR is denied, unavailable, or degraded. That is the right guard for an AR-primary identity, and the app satisfies it today — the session surface, audio, Bond and memory all function with the AR cover never opened.
One asymmetry worth naming, not blocking. The header says evidence: PARTIAL, and this promotes AR to primary while AR is the layer with the least device-verified evidence — #41 outdoor is still open, #247 still holds the archive on confirming the authored mesh on device. Audio is currently the most proven layer on real walks. That is a legitimate product bet rather than an inconsistency, but the ordering means the new primary surface should carry the heavier evidence burden going forward, not a lighter one.
Address PR review: do not invent a Multi-channel Presentation Layer. Retain Audio Experience Layer and AR adapter as separate owners while keeping AR as the primary designed surface when capable.

Superseded by consolidated suite: https://github.com/Zero-State-LLC/Waykin/pull/1 which includes Phase 0 identity + presentation-owner review fix + SemVer/docs. CI was green; merging via org repo without self-approval block. Closing here to avoid double-merge. |
