The durable controller lacked a Git-independent entry point for sealing tracker data into an unattended recursive training programme. Add pm rl corpus build, reusing the existing controller, leases, reservations, staged receipts, recovery and promotion gates.

The builder reads one explicitly selected tracker, groups identical projected inputs into one partition, and seals the corpus, datasets, environment and persisted seed. Edited datasets, renamed held-out leaks and incompatible trainer selectors refuse before collection. Explicit fit_steps from 1–256 enables source-policy importance-weighted updates; each step must match the independently approved reservation and is charged in the completion receipt.

The retained public-tracker experiment used 105 training and 41 held-out items. Two actual external generations promoted, with changed checkpoints and generation two collecting from generation one's promoted policy. Exact held-out stochastic reward rose from the 0.5 seed to 0.5979768546 and 0.6810112913. Both jobs settled eight updates once; resume retained identical checkpoints and source bytes were unchanged. The measured receipt retains the earlier refused single-update experiment. This small title-length/status task does not beat the 0.8780 always-closed baseline and makes no forecasting, generalization or independent final-test claim.

Latest review round (2026-10-22):

Thread Verified fix
PRRT_kwDOTqJmqs6u_zv2 Seal corpus rows using locale-independent code-unit order; apply the same correction to the durable-source snapshot helper found during whole-diff review.

The real English/Danish subprocess regression compares both sealed programme and durable-source digests. Independently reverting either ordering function to localeCompare fails the regression 0/1; restoring both passes 1/1 through the pinned pm runner. The corpus suite passes 14/14, including two actual non-Git successor fits and sealed replay. The latest CodeRabbit review at intake has no Outside diff range findings.

Complete CI at 31b9f7b5520eef7b1a55cb7f1863d9692ad81b38 passes:

Gate Tests Statements / lines / branches / functions
npm release, Node 22 690/690 100/100/100/100
npm release, Node 26 690/690 100/100/100/100
Bun release, Node 26 690/690 100/100/100/100

All three completed logs were independently downloaded and checked. Zero failures, skips, cancellations or todos. Strict tracker health, identities, production audit, package graph installation, packaging and changelog pass; CodeQL passes. The duplicate local full gates were intentionally interrupted under host load and are not counted as complete passes. A subsequent tracker-only receipt commit preserves identical executable source and tests.

No dist files are tracked. Thresholds and gate scripts are unchanged. The release gates run with a fresh HOME and disabled global/system Git configuration in clean detached checkouts, avoiding retained runtime artifacts already covered by pm-rl-lintruntime.

PM: pm-rl-apvf. Revert proofs, linked files/docs/tests and results are recorded on the epic. It remains in progress for orchestrator verification. Canonical path rechecks retain the known hostile-writer descriptor-relative publication follow-up pm-rl-corpusnofollow.

Summary by Sourcery

Enable unattended recursive training from an immutable, Git-independent tracker corpus while preserving durable controller, validation, recovery, and promotion guarantees.

New Features:

  • Add pm rl corpus build to seal a read-only tracker snapshot into a Git-independent recursive training programme.
  • Support bounded multi-step importance-weighted bandit fitting with reservation-matched resource accounting and durable replay.
  • Protect sealed corpora through deterministic partitioning, snapshot verification, dataset integrity checks, and source/output publication safeguards.

Bug Fixes:

  • Ensure corpus and durable-source digests use locale-independent ordering for reproducible English and Danish results.
  • Harden corpus publication against existing outputs, invalid paths, symlink aliases, parent changes, and concurrent creators.

Enhancements:

  • Document the corpus contract, reproducibility guarantees, measured recursive-training results, and limitations of the finite-corpus experiment.

CI:

  • Extend release validation and coverage configuration to include the corpus implementation, fixtures, documentation, and tests.

Documentation:

  • Document Git-independent corpus creation and execution through the durable recursive controller.
  • Add the measured tracker-loop evidence receipt and reproduction guidance.

Tests:

  • Add corpus tests covering sealing, contamination resistance, locale-independent digests, publication races, source immutability, fit-step accounting, replay, and two real non-Git successor generations.

Chores:

  • Record project-management history and follow-up tasks for corpus publication, lint-runtime, and stream-timing work.

Adds a Git-independent tracker corpus sealing and build path for recursive loop programmes.
  • Reads a selected tracker through the SDK with extensions disabled and writes an exclusive sealed programme.
  • Projects and hashes normalized item inputs, groups identical feature lengths within one split, and binds rows, datasets, environment, and snapshot digest.
  • Revalidates corpus structure, snapshot, datasets, and environment on parse, run, and resume with typed refusals for drift or contamination.
  • Documents the corpus contract, reproduction procedure, measured evidence, and CLI usage.

Extends bandit and external-process training from one optimizer update to bounded repeated updates with reservation-backed accounting.
  • Introduces a 1–256 fit-step bound while preserving the default single-update behavior and programme identity.
  • Runs repeated importance-weighted REINFORCE updates from the collected source-policy actions, with bounded checkpoint weights.
  • Propagates fit steps through loop generation, seed and training receipts, process payloads, trainer execution, usage charges, and adapter validation.
