Governance (Blockchain)

The model by which a blockchain’s underlying technology stack is maintained and/or updated over time. This governance can be either: (A) “on-chain” - meaning the method by which the codebase is changed is ruled by code contracts embedded in the blockchain; or (B) “off-chain” - meaning the codebase is changed by decision of majority rule, board fiat, or other human-political-centric model of decision-making amongst the developers maintaining the codebase.
