Repin install-whitaker to 5a99aed7 (installer 0.2.11) - #249
Repins install-whitaker to shared-actions 5a99aed78ce68dcebd3052b75c31e6f173162b1e (leynos/shared-actions#651, approved as a QG-002 root by leynos/concordat#331). That revision defaults to whitaker-installer 0.2.11, which builds the Dylint driver from a verified Clippy snapshot instead of cloning Clippy's deleted master branch, so cold lint lanes work again. Part of DF12-89.
Pin only, with no trailing version comment.
A cache-restored driver rebuilds once (about a minute); that is expected.
Summary by Sourcery
Update shared workflow dependencies to restore reliable Whitaker linting and incorporate the audited seroval lockfile update.
Bug Fixes:
Restore cold lint lane reliability by updating shared workflow actions to a revision that uses a verified Clippy snapshot for Whitaker driver builds.
Resolve the frontend audit vulnerabilities by updating seroval to 1.7.5.
Enhancements:
Repin shared GitHub Actions and the Dependabot reusable workflow to the approved 5a99aed7 revision across audit, CI, and coverage workflows.
Folded in: seroval lock bump
The build-test audit step (bun audit, frontend) failed on GHSA-f86p-h4j2-7qgj and GHSA-9wx9-5pv9-3349 in seroval before Whitaker ran. The same lockfile-only bump to seroval 1.7.5 exists as #250 (the user's), but its own Lint step fails building the Dylint driver on the old install-whitaker pin (Clippy master), so the two PRs need each other. The identical one-line frontend-pwa/bun.lock change is folded in here; bun audit reports no vulnerabilities. Once this merges, #250 either goes green or becomes empty.

Repin the Install Whitaker workflow action to shared-actions revision 5a99aed78ce68dcebd3052b75c31e6f173162b1e. This revision defaults to whitaker-installer 0.2.11, which uses a verified Clippy snapshot to build the Dylint driver.
The action inputs remain unchanged. This supports DF12-89 and addresses the cold-lint failure caused by Clippy’s deleted master branch.
No new execplan document was added. Test results and review-finding counts were not supplied.

Explanation
No user-facing functionality or behaviour changes. The pull request only changes the pinned revision of the CI install-whitaker action in .github/workflows/ci.yml; no update to docs/users-guide.md is required.
Full details: Developer Documentation
Explanation
PASS — The pull request changes only the SHA of the existing install-whitaker GitHub Action in .github/workflows/ci.yml. Its inputs and workflow role remain unchanged. The change introduces no internal API, architectural boundary, abstraction, or developer-facing build requirement. Existing documentation already covers Whitaker and the repository tooling. No design, ADR, roadmap, or execplan update is required for this pin-only change.
Full details: Testing (Unit And Behavioural)
Explanation
Pass the testing check. The pull request changes only the pinned install-whitaker action revision in .github/workflows/ci.yml; it changes no application logic or testable local behaviour. The existing CI boundary installs Whitaker and runs make lint. Existing workflow contract tests also verify the required cranelift: 'true' input.

Explanation
The pull request changes one GitHub Actions reference only: it repins install-whitaker in .github/workflows/ci.yml. It introduces no Rust or TypeScript compile-time behaviour and no text-based, structured, or UI-adjacent output. The requested trybuild or snapshot tests are therefore not applicable.

Explanation
Pass this check. The pull request changes only the pinned revision for the existing Install Whitaker GitHub Action in .github/workflows/ci.yml. Its inputs and workflow structure remain unchanged. It introduces no query, command, dependency, state, or unit-boundary change.
Full details: Domain Architecture
Explanation
The pull request changes only the pinned revision of the install-whitaker GitHub Action in .github/workflows/ci.yml. It does not change domain logic, adapters, transport, persistence, or command behaviour. The Domain Architecture failure conditions are not applicable.
Full details: Observability
Explanation
The pin changes CI operational behaviour. The reviewed diff changes install-whitaker at .github/workflows/ci.yml:97, and make lint consumes the installed Whitaker binary at Makefile:112-115. The pull-request description states that the new installer rebuilds the driver after a cache restore and adds about one minute. The diff adds no bounded timing, cache-state, rebuild-outcome, or failure-category metric. The named step supplies basic GitHub Actions logs, but it does not satisfy the explicit metric requirement for changed cache behaviour and latency.
Resolution
Add bounded CI observability for the Whitaker install. Expose the installer revision, cache hit or miss, rebuild outcome, elapsed time, and stable failure category in the action log and workflow summary. Publish a bounded metric for install duration and rebuild outcome, without repository paths, tokens, or free-form error labels. Keep the install step and make lint failure visible to the job.
One pin moves to a newer place The Whitaker step keeps its inputs in place CI follows the updated trail The workflow records the changed address And all stays neatly in its lane

Repin all shared-actions references together
Updating only this reference violates test_every_shared_actions_reference_pins_one_commit in tests/workflow_contracts/shared_actions_pin_test.py, which asserts that every leynos/shared-actions reference across the workflows uses the same commit. Other references still use e693d81d176d2305e2b736a0be0f9038085dec7f, so the Workflow contracts step in ci.yml will fail before reaching the Whitaker installation. Update the sibling references together so the existing contract remains satisfied.

GHSA-f86p-h4j2-7qgj and GHSA-9wx9-5pv9-3349. Folded in because the audit step runs before the Whitaker step on the old pin in #250, which cannot go green until this repin lands.
@coderabbitai This PR repins install-whitaker to 5a99aed7 (installer 0.2.11) and moves every other shared-actions reference to the same commit because the workflow contract requires one revision (the only shared-actions commit between the old and new revision is the install-whitaker change). The head also folds in a one-line frontend-pwa/bun.lock bump of seroval from 1.6.8 to 1.7.5, which clears GHSA-f86p-h4j2-7qgj and GHSA-9wx9-5pv9-3349 (bun audit now reports no vulnerabilities); the audit step was failing before Whitaker ran. Does the change at the current head have any Error-level problem?

@wafflecat-df12 No Error-level defect was identified in the current diff at f371d844.
Workflow pins: All ten shared-actions references use the same full SHA. This satisfies tests/workflow_contracts/shared_actions_pin_test.py. The current CI run passed Workflow contracts.
Whitaker: Concordat PR #331 merged approval of 5a99aed7 as a QG-002 root. The action defaults to installer 0.2.11. The caller retains cranelift: 'true'.
Seroval: Version 1.7.5 satisfies the existing dependency constraints and falls outside both cited advisory ranges. Its lockfile integrity matches the published package. The current CI run passed dependency installation, Audit dependencies, and all frontend checks.
Correct one detail in the explanation: the upstream comparison contains 15 commits, not one. It also changes consumed actions to prune restored uv script environments, including setup-rust, generate-coverage, install-yaml-lint, and the automerge workflow. I found no Error-level caller incompatibility in those changes.
The saved observability finding is warning-level, not Error-level.
Before merging, wait for build-test to finish successfully. At inspection, Install Whitaker was running; Lint and Test and Measure Coverage had not run. This is a source-review conclusion, not confirmation that all required checks have passed.

The
build-testaudit step (bun audit, frontend) failed on GHSA-f86p-h4j2-7qgj and GHSA-9wx9-5pv9-3349 in seroval before Whitaker ran. The same lockfile-only bump to seroval 1.7.5 exists as #250 (the user's), but its ownLintstep fails building the Dylint driver on the old install-whitaker pin (Clippy master), so the two PRs need each other. The identical one-linefrontend-pwa/bun.lockchange is folded in here;bun auditreports no vulnerabilities. Once this merges, #250 either goes green or becomes empty.
