Account Setting Configuration
The default account setting of the Drupal website allow users to seek registration. We would like to disallow that such that users cannot attempt to register for the site. This will disallow spam registration requests.
The following configuration options will need to be altered:
- Disable personal contact form for new users.
- In language settings ensure Enable Translation is selected.
- Who can register accounts - Administrators only.
- Notification email address - choose the appropriate email address.
Note that the default email templates are usually good and do not need to be changed.
After than in the Manage Fields Tab delete the user_picture field such that users are unable to upload their pictures. This is a privacy preserving option for patients.
Add a new field which is of the type Entity Reference and select it to display terms from the Projects Vocabulary. This project Vocabulary is created to have terms which are the Project names. In other words we create a field that allows the user to select a project to which the patient belongs. This is then used to further restrict the questionnaires that the patient can see. We restrict the user to select a single term (project) for the account. However it can be used to create a situation where patients are belonging to more than a single project.
When creating user accounts, the project selection dialog appears.
We disable the fields, URL alias, Contact settings, Language code and Timezone from the form as these are not needed for our purposes.
