Multilingual Capability
One of the key advantages that Drupal brings to this project is that it is inherently multi-lingual. Patients need to be able to use the website in their own language and need to do the following:
- Log in to the website
- View the questionnaires
- Answer the questionnaires
- Read additional content
We will now describe how this is setup.
The native multi-lingual capabilities of drupal will allow translation of the content as well as the webforms. However certain additional modules are installed to ensure a better experience for translators. See also Enabled Modules Page.
- Multilingual - Core Drupal module that provides multilingual capabilities.
- Dropdown Language Switcher - Additional Module that enables the user to change the language using a dropdown.
- Translation Management - A module that allows some additional features to the translation management system
- Webform Translation Permission
We will enable the content, configuration and interface translation modules. These modules will need the Language Module

We allow Project Managers, Doctors and Nurses to edit and create Content Translations. We do not allow delete translation permission. That will be available to administrators only.

These permissions are available to administrators only.
The following extensions are enabled:
- Config Entity Source
- Content Entity Source
- Drupal User
- Export / Import File
- Locales Source
- Translation Language abilities
- Translation Management Core

Note that there is Translation Management Demo module that showcases the abilities of the Module. However it also installes the French and German Languages to do so.
The module allows two sets of permissions. The Translation Management Core module allows us to
- Accept / Reject Translation Jobs
- Create translation jobs
- Submit translation jobs
We will allow only Project Managers to Create Translation jobs. However, Coordinators, nurses and doctors can accept/reject translation jobs and submit translation jobs.

The Drupal User Module enables us to choose which roles can provide translation services. We allow this to Coordinators, Nurses, Doctors and Project Managers

This is a small helper module that provides additional permissions for translating webforms without requiring permissions to be give for translating configuration.
We enable the following permissions. Project Managers can translate any webform. Coordinators, nurses and doctors can translate own webform.
